Our first guest for this year’s Sip ‘n Chat was Associate Professor Maria Keet. Prof Keet shared her wisdom and many other gems from her journey in STEM. A lucky member walked away with her book titled “No taming the enthusiast”.
The following session we had WiCS royalty and UCT alumni Onalerona Mosimege. She shared her experiences as a fem-body working in software dev and now consulting. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing your mental health, which is something she advocates for. Ona also volunteered her time to have a CompSci Hotseat Session exclusively for our members before exams.
