Yesterday (27th April) was Freedom day in South Africa.
Having no lectures for the day, our members productively spent it practicing for coding interviews.
Facebook, one of the most selective tech companies fully sponsored this event.
We had 2 Facebook engineers and one recruiter demystify the whole recruitment process at Facebook, followed by a mock interview, tips and tricks. Thereafter lots of thoughtful questions were asked. With free lunch, swag, mentoring, there was no better way to spend the afternoon. Many left the room feeling confident they will crush their next technical interview. Thanks to Facebook.
Sadly, that was our last event for this semester (Time really flies) . We are cooking bigger and better events for next semester, stay tuned!
